Personal Concept Art: Lotus

The Concept art I used to apply for my graduate schools.
Story based on Indian culture.
BACKGROUND
Once upon a time, a lotus flowing in the sky,
which had a bunch of villagers living underneath.
The villagers were called “The roots (of the lotus)”,
they born from the lotus as the seed, grown to the
roots, and the souls back to lotus. After thousands
of reincarnation, one day, a root called NIAO PAN
who created an evil church “LOMORTALITY”. He
combined with some of the roots who wanted
to be immortal planned to shot the lotus down
to stop the reincarnation. However, what they
unexpected——Without the protection of lotus,
the village quickly rotted. The souls in the lotus
became homeless and transformed into “ALSHUA”,
wandering in the streets. Meanwhile, the final
seed which brought the spirits of the lotus born in
a family
SYNOPSIS
XIANG SHAO found the drum which can absorb
“ALSHUA” in the ruins of the lotus by the recalling
memory. He used the drum to clarify those souls
and store them into the drum. After hearing the
drum, NIAO PAN considered that the drum is the
key to stop the reincarnation and the aging. So
he sent his daughter NIAO JIA to rob the drum.
However, by getting touch with XIANG SHAO,
she gradually found the truth and decided to
negotiate with her father. Unexpectedly, her
father already knew her betray and set traps to
kill them. NIAO JIA had no choice but to kill her
father instead. Ultimately, after absorbing all the
“ALSHUA” and clarified them in the drum. XIANG
SHAO brought the drum to the ruins of lotus, the
lotus reborn.
